Technology Integration and Implementation

Technology is no longer optional in our 21st Century world. Which means including it in the classroom isn't optional either. Hoonuit provides a library of learning modules for educators around integrating and implementing technology in the classroom from using Google's suite of solutions to building lesson plans that utilize technology such as Nearpod.

Course Preview: Project-Based Learning Lesson Framework - Classroom Invention

This module takes students through an entire PBL project with learning outcomes aligned with ISTE Student Standard 6, Creative Communicator. Students will create a classroom invention, create a presentation, select social media tools to use for a marketing campaign for their product, present to an authentic audience, and write a reflection at the end. Students will keep a journal throughout the project to help with the final presentation and reflection. Teachers will find instructional videos to help with project setup and needed prerequisite lessons, as well as all of the graphic organizer and template resources needed for their students during this project. A fun and engaging PBL to help your students become creative communicators!

By the end of this learning module, the learner will be able to:

  • Choose the appropriate platforms and tools for meeting the desired objectives of my creation or communication.
  • Create original works, or responsibly repurpose or remix digital resources into new creations.
  • Communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively by creating or using a variety of digital objects such as visualizations, models or simulations.
  • Publish or present content that customizes the message and medium for my intended audiences.

Each of our learning modules follows our four-part framework:

LearnIt. Our Project-Based Learning Lesson Framework: Classroom Invention course includes 24 videos broken out into 7 different section giving educators a depth of information on the topic, including video overviews on 4 different web-based tools and 7 additional resource templates.

DoIt. Each course includes an opportunity to practice the theory in a classroom-focused scenario. In this course teachers are asked to create a model journal entry for their students to show them what a typical entry might look like.

ShareIt. Using the built-in community, collaboration is encouraged. Each course allows educators to share their DoIt experience as well as any additional learning.

ProveIt. At the end of each learning module an assessment is provided for educators to demonstrate what they have learned.
